Dashchound Dog
Dashchound dog in suede covered papier mache with key wound clockwork mechanism. Paris circa 1900, by Roullet & Decamps. 40cm high x 70cm long. The clockwork mechanism makes him nod his head and open and shut his mouth for approx 20 minute duration (double compound pendulum). The original suede covering show signs of wear but is intact. Wonderful realistic modelling and glass eyes.
