Donkey Automaton
A musical clockwork automaton made in Paris around 1880. The maker is Roullet & Decamps. An obstinate papier mache donkey is kicked into life by the young rider. The boy carries an early celluloid ball which is original. Note the original clothes and interesting painting of the grass road. H42cm x W31 x D20cm.
