Barking Bulldog
This British Bulldog was made on papier mache in France around 1880. He has the very rare feature of a wagging tail as well as the ferocious bark. The restoration was an exercise in planned surgery as access to the mechanism was very difficult. The bark is made by a serrated wheel rasping against a steel diaphragm in the neck.
