 The original trimmings were carefully re-used where possible. The original silk dress had turned mostly to dust so the new silk was dyed and hand painted to match the original fragments. |

The table was recovered in high quality velvet, but the base covering was left as an indicator of its age. Original trim and materials are preserved to enhance the value and appearance of the automaton.
