Clay Master in the Mould
This is a hand made for a Vichy Acrobat on a Ladder. The right hands were often broken due to the high impacts sustained during the act.
This photo shows the clay master in half of the latex mould. The mould is supported by a plaster case.
The next part of the process is to make a papier mache version using the moulds, this would then be gessoed and painted.
