Tim Hunkin
On a trip south to pick up and deliver some pieces we visited the The Under the Pier Show at Southwold Pier in England, made and run by Tim Hunkin whose achievements as an influential automata maker are amazing.
Tims series of films “The Secret Life of Machines” is a classic on Youtube as is a superb communicator as well as an artist with mechanism.
The Pier is well worth visiting and don’t miss the Jack in Southwold church, it is in all the (important) Automata reference books, and if you are lucky they might let you ding it!
